HEALTHSAFE ID™ REMINDER FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES

At the end of June, Optum Bank launched our new log in experience, HealthSafe ID, to further ensure the safety and privacy of our account holders.

Your employees who have not yet created a HealthSafe ID will receive a reminder email next week. They will need to register for a HealthSafe ID by October 3 to access their health accounts at optumbank.com. If your organization has other products and services with Optum, your employees may already have a HealthSafe ID.

About HealthSafe ID
HealthSafe ID is our proprietary leading technology that strengthens website authentication protocols with dual-factor authentication – ensuring your employees' accounts remain safe and secure.

Embedded in HealthSafe ID are several tools that allow consumers peace of mind in knowing their accounts are secure. Here is what your employees can expect:

  • Enhanced account recovery in the event of a forgotten password.
  • One-time-passcode capability for unrecognized device logins and high-risk transactions.
  • Email address and mobile confirmation to ensure account-holder ownership.
  • Risk-based authentication protocols that validate IP address, device type and several other vital data elements leveraged to increase account security.

HealthSafe ID allows consumers to access Optum Bank products and services through an enhanced, secure and consistent digital experience. The new HealthSafe ID username/password can then be used on any site with HealthSafe ID log in.

Optum Bank call centers are trained and ready to assist employees with technical issues or HealthSafe ID registration.
